Course Overview

Course Description:

A course on the engineering process fostering the identification of needs and potential engineering solutions. This course will encapsulate the ideation and problem identification aspects of engineering senior design, and is anticipated to facilitate student innovation. Students taking ECE445 senior design may use this course one to two semesters before taking ECE445 to identify a suitable project for the course, to build a team, and to explore the feasibility and potential solution space for the selected project area.

Office hour: 10-11AM on Fridays in 2072 ECEB.

TA Meetings:

Once projects have been approved, each team will be assigned a TA. You will turn in assignments to your TA and discuss your project goals, progress, and potential problems. These meetings are expected to between 30 minutes and one hour every week. The time and location of these meetings will be set by your team and your TA.

Projects:

You choose your projects! We will discuss them as a class on the discussion board and then projects will be approved by the course staff.

This semester, you must take on two DIFFERENT projects with two DIFFERENT teams. You may not iterate on the same project or work with the same team.
